After that gorgeous holiday in Varkala, it’s time for the next part of the journey. Travelling some of the north on motorbikes. I’ve arranged to rent bikes from a seemingly trustworthy company in Delhi so that’s where I’m heading. But the far south is quite far from Delhi. In fact, it’s 50 hours on a single train (if there’s no delays). I decided that it would be best to keep a diary for all the special memories that might pop up whilst on the train. This is it.

I love trains in India! The things you see outside, scenery changing, kids playing on the street, colourful laundry hung in front of beautifully painted houses. I’m in India! Almost one month already and still I can hardly believe it… A country that’s absolutely mad. Full to the brim with stares, questions and lots of smiles. Arriving December 26th, I start of in this country with a crazy journey to Goa.
After a great time on Nusa Lembongan, it’s time to make my way to Java. That’s where my flight to Bangkok leaves from anyway. It’d be a shame to miss it. This is the tale of two days of travelling in a slow hurry (tempo dulu).
